Since 2015, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) has organized Palestine Advocacy Day, an annual event that focuses on educating and engaging students, community leaders, and organizers in policy work related to Palestine. As of 2021, this event has been organized and executed by AMP’s affiliate 501(c)(4) organization, Americans for Justice in Palestine Action (AJP Action).
Americans for Justice in Palestine Advocacys Day: Last Year’s Experience
Last year’s AJP Action Palestine Advocacy Days saw a record-breaking participation of 803 advocates from across the nation, making it the largest Palestine lobbying event in the United States. This year, the organization is excited to announce Palestine Advocacy Days 2023, which will take place from Monday, October 23rd to Tuesday, October 24th, 2023, in person in Washington, DC.
According to the organization, after three years of grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic and its impacts, the organization is back in person and their staff and members are more determined than ever. While the virtual format of the previous year’s event was effective in connecting constituents with their local representatives, American Muslims for Palestine and Americans for Justice in Palestine Action are thrilled to resume the program in person.
