The graduation ceremony marked the completion of a three-year journey for talented cricket players from underserved areas of Karachi. What began as part of HHRD’s Skills Development Program has grown into a pathway toward confidence, discipline, teamwork, and competitive excellence.
The ceremony brought together graduating trainees and their coaches at Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana, celebrating the conclusion of an intensive development journey. Their uniforms, confidence, and expressions reflected pride not only in cricket but also in the dedication and hard work they invested in building their futures.
A Skills Development Program Built for Growth
The HHRD Skills Development Program was created with a simple but powerful goal: Let’s catch them young. Through the Cricket Skills Development Project, young athletes ages 15 to 18 received structured coaching, professional equipment, fitness training, and life-skills development over three years.
The program focused on:
- Building foundational cricket techniques
- Position specialization and player development
- Tactical understanding and game strategy
- Tournament participation and performance analysis
- Leadership, discipline, and character development
For many participants, the program provided their first experience with professional coaching and consistent access to quality sports facilities. The guests met with the trainees and encouraged the young players to continue pursuing excellence through discipline, commitment, and dedication.
Pakistan’s legendary cricketer Younis Khan also praised HHRD’s initiative, describing the organization’s work as remarkable and emphasizing the importance of structured sports development programs in creating brighter futures for Pakistan’s youth.
