International Day of Women in Science: HHRD Showcases the Power of Education

Every year, HHRD reminds us of the importance of recognizing key global milestones, like the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Through these celebrations, they shine a light on education as a powerful tool for change.

Education is not just about learning it’s about opening doors to confidence, opportunity, and independence. HHRD’s Skills Development & Livelihood programs, such as the One Home One Skill initiative, are designed to do just that. From UI/UX training to livestock farming, these courses equip individuals with nationally and internationally recognized certificates, helping them earn immediately and sustainably. By tailoring courses to local economies, HHRD ensures that every skill taught is valuable and relevant.

Empowering Women, Youth, and People with Disabilities

HHRD understands that barriers to education and employment are often social and structural. In many regions, women face restrictions on paid work, especially widows, women with disabled or imprisoned spouses, or those who need multiple incomes to support their families. HHRD provides gender-friendly spaces and programs centered around home-based businesses, internship opportunities, and practical support like free transportation to ensure everyone can participate.

Through learning and skills training, HHRD not only helps girls and women gain confidence but also opens pathways into science, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods. These programs transform lives and strengthen local economies, proving that when education is prioritized, communities thrive.

By consistently marking days like the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, HHRD reminds the world of the power of education, opportunity, and empowerment and their commitment to making those ideals a reality.
